How it came to be...

In 1985 the now extinct Cars & Concepts, Inc. of Brighton Michigan wanted to design a Lincoln to compete with the luxury sports cars coming from across the Atlantic (Mercedes AMG & BMW M Series). The GTC was born. A Lincoln Mark VII LSC (dubbed the "Rich Man's Mustang") would be transformed into this ultra comfortable, slick looking, fun-to-drive sleeper. The suspension was designed by their neighbors at Jack Roush Performance Engineering of Lavonia, Michigan. Then Roush dropped their own engine, transmission and rear into just a select few. With the Cars & Concepts appearance package (Stage I) married to a Jack Roush suspension (Stage II) and drive train (Stage III), this certainly answered the call for an American Luxury Sports Car...
